MOSMAN HOUSE

Utz-Sanby was engaged by the firm Denbuild to design and document a new residence in Georges Heights, Mosman as a speculative development. We had worked with Denbuild on several projects for private clients prior to this development and enjoy a good working relationship. The reasons Denbuild gave for selecting this firm was our design integrity and superior standard of documentation.

The house has been designed to maximise the amount of accommodation on site, which includes a pool, large double garage and storage, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, study, rumpus, open-plan living area opening on to a large terrace with under-cover dining, barbeque and food preparation area. The two-storey part of the house is contained on the western boundary, allowing the open-plan living area to have a high ceiling and abundant natural light, with framed views to the pool, garden and leafy outlook beyond. The fenestration has been carefully considered to maintain privacy from neighbours, without compromising the amount of natural light and ventilation or the architectural form.
